Vouchers for Dinner or Sunset to Sunrise Package

Emerson on Hurumzi and Emerson Spice offer vouchers that you can purchase for a dinner in either of our two rooftop Tea House restaurants or an overnight stay in our hotels combined with a dinner in our rooftop Tea House restaurant. 

The vouchers can be purchased for yourself or as a gift for someone else. 

  • The voucher for an evening with dinner in our Tea House restaurant is USD $40 per person.  Dinner in the Emerson Spice Tea House restaurant is a daily changing, seafood based five course tasting menu.  Dinner in the Emerson on Hurumzi Tea House restaurant is a three course Swahili / Middle Eastern inspired menu, served on traditional large platters with a variety of dishes. 
  • It is possible for a single dinner voucher to be purchased for various numbers of guests. Or you may order more than one voucher.  So for example: If you wanted a voucher for 4 people, you could order a dinner voucher for 4 people, or you could order 2 vouchers for two people, or 4 vouchers for each person. Just indicate how many Dinner vouchers you require and the names you want on  the vouchers when you order. 
  • The voucher for our ‘Sunset to Sunrise Special’ includes an evening with dinner in our Tea House restaurant, an overnight stay and a breakfast on the room veranda – all for just USD $225 per room – subject to availability. You may order one voucher for a room (which can be for one or two people).

To receive a voucher, please complete the form below with your details. 

After you submit the form you will receive an online invoice to pay for the voucher(s) and once paid online, you will receive an automatic e-mail as proof of payment.  Then you will receive the voucher via e-mail within two days.

Redeeming your vouchers

When you have received our gift vouchers, you can redeem them when you are ready, by simply booking your dinner or Sunset to Sunrise Special as normal by email or online reservation.  Just let us know the name(s) on the voucher you have, and the voucher reference number(s) at the time you book the meal or the package.

All vouchers will be valid until 31st of May 2024 and are non-refundable.

    Absolutely Beautiful
    If you want to experience something different you must go to this hotel! The Emerson on Hurumzi Hotel is absolutely beautiful. A place like that can’t be designed, only time and a rich history can create something that unique. The staff are very friendly and helpful. You can have a dinner in traditional style at the stunning rooftop.

    Best Restaurant Recommendation in Stone Town
    One of the best Restaurants in Stone Town to try local food. The food was full of positive surprises in taste combinations. The staff are kind and serve your food with a smile on. Would recommend it to anyone who is planning to visit Stone Town.

    Recommended Hotel in Stone Town
    I was staying in Stone Town, Zanzibar and looking for a quality restaurant when my hotel concierge recommended I tried Emerson Spice. The restaurant is up on the rooftop in an authentic colonial style building, only small, around 20 covers so booking is essential. An idyllic and romantic setting with the Chefs cooking in location. It was a set menu, mainly seafood based with, Anchovies, Tuna, Lobster and King Fish featuring. Pretty normal you would say but, Emerson Spice does not derive its name for nothing.…

    Favourite hotel room in the world
    The north room at Emerson on Hurumzi is probably my favourite hotel room in the world. It’s like being in a fairy tale. One side of the room consists of ‘French’ windows which open to a balcony with the most amazing ocean view ever. If you open all the windows it gives you the illusion you’re sleeping outside and with being so high up it’s like sleeping in ‘heaven’. Then there’s the massive stone tub which easily fits two people, and it’s partially in the open air so I can highly recommend having a late night bath while gazing at the moon and stars. The staff are absolutely amazing, professional and efficient and above all super friendly, like most people are on the island. In short, Emerson on Hurumzi is probably one of the most authentic Zanzibari experiences you could ask for.

    Об этом ресторане я уже говорила, но расскажу еще раз, он того стоит! Лучше места, чтобы перекусить и полюбоваться закатом, в Каменном городе не найти. Бронировать нужно заранее, ужин подают только в 19:00, но приехать можно к 18:00, чтобы не пропустить закат. Ужин стоит 35-40 USD (без напитков).

    Fabulous Hotel!
    The photos do not do this property justice. It is a fabulous hotel! Incredibly unique, pristinely decorated, in a fantastic location, with very attentive and accommodating service. I, undoubtedly, will stay here on my next visit to Stone Town! It would be a missed opportunity to not stay here, I highly recommend it!
